Down And Out

Down And Out

I twist, I shout out
how I'm trapped inside myself,
inside my old rags
and the dumpsters where
I find things to eat, twisted
up so my life is
swallowed down with half
eaten sandwiches smeared with
fry grease and left to
curdle in my soul.

  1. Soul's broken
    Twisted knuckles
    Split skin a token
    Surface manifest destiny
    the last car gone by
    Through cold distaste
Threw a coin, and a corner
    Of something, yesterday
    To you lunch was blah
    Today leftover blah
    leaves me in awe
    What do you think
    Half eaten scraps a feast
    Never mind me
    Got a shining. Coin
    And some old food
    Cracked tips broken soul's
    Destiny manifest deep wonders aside
Ill eat slow trick my mind
    It'll fill my inside

The chicken crossed the road. That's poultry in motion.
