Not In Kansas Any More

Tornadoes should try
harder than they do to make
friends instead of jokes
with weird outcomes like
pieces of straw jammed point first
through telephone poles,
the poles themselves knocked
flat on some prairie hilltop
and some house - nothing
wrong but for landing
upside down and tilted left.

I should wave goodbye.

It's not far to go.
You will soon cross the state line
and this is no joke.

    1. One thing, you have to be okay with a chartreuse sky. If you can't get past that one there is little hope for your sense of humor.

    1. Near misses are as illogical as anything else about a tornado and it's track.
