Each week, I post three words. You write something using the words.
Then come back and post a link to the contribution with Mr. Linky (but please, link to the exact post, not your blog, by clicking on the exact post title and paste it to Mr. Linky below). As always, there's no hard-and-fast rule that you have to post on Wednesday.

This week's words:
Banter; Duty; Element
Duty - the oldest sense coming from the Latin. Something I owe due (this is the source word of duty) to my position in the midst of things.
The Calling
No more banter here,
serious as a heart pain
all sobered right up
and focused, laser
lighted on duty and poised
to soar. Journey on
old man. He trusts you.
The element of ascent
is in your long gaze.

Beautiful both the picture and the poem
ReplyDeleteA long gaze..a heart sore but wise..tired but perhaps with a new resolve..i like this snapshot of 'your' place on the road..that there is someone who trusts..outside or in..jae
ReplyDelete"serious as a heart pain" that's pretty serious.
ReplyDeleteThis leaves me to ponder about the journey ahead.
Very nice piece.
