Larceny At The Spaceport

The Spaceport They Built In Arizona - For Your Eyes Only

Thom writes: 3WW CCLXI - Each week, I post three words. You write something using the words. Then come back and post a link to the contribution with Mr. Linky (but please, link to the exact post, not your blog, by clicking on the exact post title and paste it to Mr. Linky below). As always, there's no hard-and-fast rule that you have to post on Wednesday.  Here's the link to the site: *click here*

This week's words:

Crinkle; demand; navigate.

Larceny At The Spaceport

The lights will crinkle
in their orbits, amused with
me, with my demand
that you navigate
the long years from the Dog Star
back to me despite
all my bad acts, all
I said to you, and how I
stole the best fuel cells.

  1. Fresh, clever, vivid, intelligent...
    P.S. Cancel the word verification.

  2. I can't cancel the word ver. I have been targeted by spam bots. They hit me hard at one point.

  3. very clever I love how you put in you took the best fuel cells

  4. LOL

You know, everything else can be forgiven, but the fuel cells - that's a different story.

Great use of three words. Please read my attempt.

  5. Lovely poem. Makes me think of 2001 a Sapce Oddessy :)

  6. haunting and whimsical all at once... wow, how do you do that?

  7. Thank you all.

Harlequin, it's in the setting, isn't it? And being clear but indirect so you have to add the specifics yourself. There really are techniques, Virginia, and there really is a Santa Claus. That's me honoring the gift in it. I never know if it is going to work but I am fairly confident by now that the gift is going to show up again.

  8. Excellent imagery! "navigate the long years from the Dog Star"... I surely hope she does!
    Best, M.

  9. What a wonderful interpretation of the prompts..I leave craving the story behind the verse..always a good sign..jae )

The chicken crossed the road. That's poultry in motion.
