Tired Love

Allah Hafiz الله حافظ
Put together like this: "May God be your guardian."

"I wish I could show you when you are lonely or in darkness the astonishing light of your own being." - Hafiz of Shiraz

Khwāja Šamsu d-Dīn Muḥammad Hāfez-e Šīrāzī (Persian: خواجه شمس‌الدین محمد حافظ شیرازی), known by his pen name Hāfez (1325/26–1389/90) was a Persian lyric poet. His collected works (Divan) are to be found in the homes of most Iranians, who learn his poems by heart and use them as proverbs and sayings to this day.

Three Word Wednesday offers:

Blink; verb: to open and close the eye, especially involuntarily; wink rapidly and repeatedly.

Kind; adjective: of a good or benevolent nature or disposition.

Occasion; noun: a particular time, especially as marked by certain circumstances or occurrences.

Tired Love

Why I could not tell,
you did not blink your glassy
eye, nor did you nod.

I wish to see you
defrocked, unclothed, blessed in kind
light though I fall out
of my worn saddle,
this exhausted occasion,
me beneath notice.

thats is really powerful ! and by a weird sync, the title and the words is how I feel today.

Wow...Thanks all. I did not see this poem as that powerful, still don't really but we often have no idea what we do. It is one point of having an audience. I am proud to be part of the 3WW crew. I wish I had more time.

Just started reading your work--quite impressive! This poem is particularly good. Fills the mind with thoughts and images that won't go away.

so few words, but the ones you used are powerful and paint a picture.
