This is a poem about writing poems, I guess.
Saying It Straight
I have some good news,
not that no news is good news
(while elsewhere they say
such a thing often,
I won’t.) Instead I shall say
it straight: even here
in these made up words
you shall find the elements
of deeply true things.

Elements of deeply true things, leaving some effort on our part to piece it together into a whole...as it should be.
