Saving Myself
Sometimes my brain's like
a flock when the eagle shows,
and I scatter out
of formation to
save myself from being caught
in truth's twin talons.
What else can I do?

Excellent metaphor! Perhaps you should undertake a migration to stave off eagle troubles...
Survival mechanism... sometimes it's best to take cover. Even when the eagle is of your own making.
