Not The Way It Was

The color is wrong,
not the way I remember
on that day. I was
all over you, hot
and lively, I am sure that's right
and the way you stayed
a force all tangled
with me, touch for touch and breath
for honeyed hot breath,
I've no question there
but the light was different
and the hues, more red.
