Creative Intermission

I found myself composing where I should have been reading and posting. I don't know whether to apologize or not. I have several more poems. Thank you for your patience.

"We do not come into this world; we come out of it, as leaves from a tree. As the ocean "waves," the universe "peoples." Every individual is an expression of the whole realm of nature, a unique action of the total universe. This fact is rarely, if ever, experienced by most individuals. Even those who know it to be true in theory do not sense or feel it, but continue to be aware of themselves as isolated egos inside bags of skin."
- Alan Watts

  2. Composing is more important, when the muse is visiting. She doesn't like to wait. Most often, she simply buggers off if she's feeling neglected.

  3. I know. Composing is more like being raped isn't it? The muse is in control. I feel pretty cool about things since she has had her way with me for a while now. This is the second big time. Back in 1999-2001 was the first time. I have a feeling my time is short, but I don't know what that means. That I am nearing the end of my life may not mean that my death is what is soon to come.

  4. I would fight rape, and tear the rapist's eye sockets bloody. For writing, I feel like I must fully surrender to the muse. So yeah, I suppose the muse is very much in control, and I'm just a conduit. However, I've had friends in the s&m scene who swear that the sub is in control, and that surrender is itself a form of control. I dunno...

  5. Sometimes I do try to tear her eyeballs out and we do have a colorful relationship, my muse and I. She generally wins through cunning. There is witchcraft involved. Heh.
