Gutter Games

The cosmic nature
of a slip of cut paper
cut to fit the word
and laid down neatly
in a leafy pose, two leaves
and this otherwise
clean gutter, the thumb
sticking out, the word almost
like a severed thumb
pointing to something -
we probably need to take
this as just for us.
