The Spaceport They Built In Arizona - For Your Eyes Only
Thom writes: 3WW CCLXI - Each week, I post three words. You write something using the words. Then come back and post a link to the contribution with Mr. Linky (but please, link to the exact post, not your blog, by clicking on the exact post title and paste it to Mr. Linky below). This week's words:
Crinkle; demand; navigate.
Larceny At The Spaceport
The lights will crinkle
in their orbits, amused with
me, with my demand
that you navigate
the long years from the Dog Star
back to me despite
all my bad acts, all
I said to you, and how I
stole the best fuel cells.

ReplyDeleteYou know, everything else can be forgiven, but the fuel cells - that's a different story.
Great use of three words. Please read my attempt.
Lovely poem. Makes me think of 2001 a Sapce Oddessy :)
ReplyDeletehaunting and whimsical all at once... wow, how do you do that?
ReplyDeleteThank you all.
ReplyDeleteHarlequin, it's in the setting, isn't it? And being clear but indirect so you have to add the specifics yourself. There really are techniques, Virginia, and there really is a Santa Claus. That's me honoring the gift in it. I never know if it is going to work but I am fairly confident by now that the gift is going to show up again.
Creative!
ReplyDeleteExcellent imagery! "navigate the long years from the Dog Star"... I surely hope she does!
ReplyDeleteBest, M.
