I like that.

For my part, I was raised non-religious until high school then placed in a Christian church congregation for the experience of that kind of community, where I was confirmed as a member. I never grabbed hold that well. Soon enough I faltered in my life and on the way down I met God (so to speak) but He wasn't Christian. Neither then am I.christopherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04201537517464996231noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2377252801421681569.post-91918543720870742262013-04-11T13:04:36.478-07:002013-04-11T13:04:36.478-07:00and knowing that He will raise us from the deepest...and knowing that He will raise us from the deepest is a relief if distant LLM Callinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17199375981896229914noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2377252801421681569.post-94829293126000292013-04-11T05:06:05.405-07:002013-04-11T05:06:05.405-07:00It is important to have your own personal Jesus..a...It is important to have your own personal Jesus..as the song goes..there is peace in this..light and hope..i wonder if our gods are inside of us..watching..looking over..protecting..lighting up..Jae Rosehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11509244123008832611noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2377252801421681569.post-7846005428197592692013-04-10T23:51:25.859-07:002013-04-10T23:51:25.859-07:00It is strange how we are more comfortable with our...It is strange how we are more comfortable with ourselves and closer to God when we get away from others of our kind and commune with nature. I feel more hopeful for the reading :)

You know I love your poetry Christopher! I didn't read it that way :D To me the phrase "...in the afternoon of my grief..." implies there was at least a morning and perhaps is still a night to come. I've never found it to have that kind of brevity, but it sure sounds nice, expecially coupled with bask and glow.Wine and Wordshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06778785233226804217noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2377252801421681569.post-30725746281292981512013-04-10T08:51:09.263-07:002013-04-10T08:51:09.263-07:00this is truly a lovely poem.this is truly a lovely poem.Sheilagh Leehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13741333943021570641noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2377252801421681569.post-77724244835701385762013-04-10T07:13:46.063-07:002013-04-10T07:13:46.063-07:00Nice poem, with good sentiments.
